Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Role – Reporting to the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will manage and lead the Information Technology (IT) strategy and operations for CGI in all jurisdictions, including developing and implementing the IT business plan to support the Company’s strategic goals. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, all aspects of operational management and coordination, technical, staff management, administrative and effective IT service delivery to support each of the business units in meeting their corporate goals and objectives. Functional areas of IT include hardware, operating systems, integrated network communications, internet, telephone systems, digital imaging, video conferencing, remedial support services, disaster recovery, cyber security, IT security and systems training etc.
You will ensure effective people management practices by clarifying, communicating and modeling expectations, coaching and mentoring. You will encourage and foster effective IT use throughout CGI, taking into account CGI’s polices, diverse workforce, culture and corporate practices, legal, vendor, third party service provider and client requirements in all jurisdictions in which CGI has a physical presence, using best practice and compliance at all times.
You will ensure effective IT administration and that confidentiality and privacy of information is maintained at all times. You will also be required to report to the Board on all aspects of IT. Travel, sometimes on short notice and under difficult physical conditions (e.g. immediately after a hurricane) is required along with undertaking project work across the Group. Excellent and innovative customer service delivery is important to us, critical to our strategic objective of business retention and growth and applies to all roles across the Group.
